What is a School Council?

A school council is a group of students who are elected to represent the views of all pupils and to improve their school.

September 2021- Our First Meeting!

We held our first school council meeting on Thursday 23rd September. Everyone had the opportunity to introduce themselves and we had a fruitful discussion about how we can make our school an even better place to be in the near future!

October 2021- Harvest Festival Preparations

This week we have been using our artistic skills to illustrate the story of The Good Samaritan. Our drawings will be used in a PowerPoint, which will be shared with the whole school during our Harvest celebration next week!

November 2021- Pupil Voice

During this months meeting, we discussed all things Faith Primary and created a pupil voice questionnaire around Emotional Regulation. Our school councillors had some fantastic ideas!

December 2021- Christingle Workshop

School council worked with our friend Debbie Reynolds to create some fantastic Christingles! These will be used in our whole school Christingle Collective Worship, next week.

January 2022- Walk Against Hunger Planning

Way back in September, we decided that fund raising was an important part of life at our school and in our community. The children all agreed that they would like to plan a big fundraising event in school, and chose CAFOD's 'Walk Against Hunger' Lent 2022 appeal.

Today we began our plans to raise money for this worthy cause. Watch this space for our fundraising activities!
